Toshiba ESS to help renovate 45-MW geothermal power plant in Kenya

Toshiba Corp announced today that its unit Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corp, or Toshiba ESS, will deliver steam turbines and generators for a renovation job at a 45-MW geothermal power plant in Kenya. Under the agreement with SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction Co Ltd, the new Units 1 through 3 at the Olkaria I plant will increase their output to 21 MW from the current 15 MW. Toshiba ESS estimates it will commence delivery of the steam turbines and generators by December 2025. The federal government intends to resurrect a post-war effort to ramp up housing construction across Canada — but with a 21st-century twist. A consultation process will begin next month on developing a catalog of pre-approved home designs to accelerate the home-building process for developers, Housing Minister Sean Fraser said Tuesday. ‘Incredulous’: Oak Bay homeowner gets anonymous letter criticizing house’s design – BC

An Oak Bay, BC, homeowner is sharing a somewhat nasty letter he received in the mail this month criticizing the exterior design of his house.
